Summer Honors is a residential academic program in which high school students stay on campus at Indiana State, explore an academic major, and earn college credit. All one-week seminars are held on Indiana State’s campus in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Offered in one-week seminars, Summer Honors will be held July 14 to 20, 2024.

About the Program
Every summer, a variety of seminars are taught by Indiana State’s dedicated professors. Upon successful completion of a seminar, students earn one college credit to be applied to an Indiana State University degree or transferred to another university.
arrow_forward Explore Our SeminarsSummer Honors 2024 is open to high school students (in-state and out-of-state) in the graduating classes of 2025 and 2026. High school students must have a “B” average or higher. Students who have not attained a 3.0 cumulative GPA are still encouraged to apply and may be accepted with a strong recommendation on a space-available basis. Students who have completed their senior year, as well as international/non-citizens, are not eligible to attend.
The Summer Honors 2024 program fee is $425 to $525. This includes all meals, seminar books and supplies, and seminar-sponsored activities.
There are limited scholarships available, awarded first come, first serve, to students who are admitted to the program and who participate in free or reduced lunch programs. Students who are eligible must have their high school send verification of participation in the free or reduced lunch program. These scholarships cover the full cost of registration, $425 to $525, depending on the seminar.
The Engineering Pack-A-Palooza seminar is also offering $100 scholarships to the first 24 students to register for the seminar.
Scholarships do not combine.
All Summer Honors 2024 seminars will be held on Indiana State University’s campus in Terre Haute, Indiana. Summer Honors 2024 will be held July 14 to 20, 2024.
Students participating in Summer Honors are required to stay on campus for the duration of the week-long program. Students will live in air-conditioned rooms with a roommate inside Pickerl Hall.
Rooms have private bathrooms. Student leaders will reside on each floor. Summer Honors students will have full access to Indiana State’s Student Recreation Center, Hulman Memorial Student Union, and Cunningham Memorial Library during the camp.
Eligible students must apply online for Summer Honors 2024. The last day to apply is June 7th, 2024. Students must also submit official high school transcripts to Indiana State University electronically or through postal mail. The Office of Admissions must receive transcripts by June 14th, 2024. Once the application and transcripts have been received, the Office of Admissions will review for a decision. If admitted, you will receive an email with additional details.
